Here are my Father's Day cards from Matt and Bryan. Bryan always gets a mahogany card and I look forward to those every year. Matthew has the same taste in cards as I do, this year takes the cake though. He got the same exact card that I got for my dad, we were in different states and we got them at different stores; freaky. They are my pride and joy.

1 Peter 3:8-17
I have a lot to learn from this scripture:
Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil -

Books I am reading

This a picture of my reading habits right now; the Bible is on top where it should always be. I am also reading a book by Mark Driscoll and a geek book, how could I not have a geek book in here....Ubuntu Linux is the bomb and it is free. If you have an old computer or laptop that hates windows or you can't afford to use a mac get a hold of me and I will hook you up with an operating system that is better than both of them.

Things that remind me of my beautiful wife

These are two things that remind me of KB this morning. First off is seeing her study the Bible every morning; I always refill her coffee when I come downstairs. So I am enjoying my coffee and reading the Word. This Bible verse jumped out at me this morning. I think it is more for Bryan but it also reminds me of what marriage means.
KB - The bubbles are in the center of my coffee cup and it's raining, guess Dave Murray was right....Inside joke everyone..

Sunday afternoon happenings

August Gate launch group met in Soulard today at Noah and Heathers apartment. Enjoyed hearing Josh write a song on the spot about shoes. I asked if he knew of anything that ryhmes with Chuck Taylor's? Got home and played with the doggie, he misses the female affection he normally gets, I think it's time he mans up.
